The SET building is connected to the Utelisys Internet connection via a central fiber optic connection. Subsequently, Internet services are delivered through the data port in the living room.<\/p>\n
The data port can be used to directly connect a laptop or computer using a network cable. There is no need for a modem. If WiFi is required, the resident will need to procure a WiFi router. Utelisys recommends using the 5 GHz frequency<\/strong> on a dual-band WiFi router for this purpose, as it is less sensitive to interference from WiFi networks in the immediate vicinity.<\/p>\n If a WiFi router is used, this almost always works with the default settings.
